Prison Fellowship Romania
Romania (The Christian Mission for Prisons), a
non-governmental organization, a member of the
Prison Fellowship International (affiliated to the UNO),
came into existence in 1993 "with the purpose of mobilizing and assisting
the Christian community in its ministry to prisoners, ex-prisoners
and their families, and also of promoting and sustaining the
improvement of the correctional system in Romania." The
organization is led by Orthodox Christians.
Provided funding assistance
for the repair and re-establishment of an Orthodox
Christian children's home.
