Reconciliation Services
(RS) is a ministry founded by St. Mary of Egypt
Serbian Orthodox Church. Based on Kansas City's Troost Avenue
("the racial dividing line"), RS seeks "to promote personal
and community healing throughout Kansas City by treating
each person as the image of God." Its services include
prevention and treatment of mental health disabilities,
substance abuse, domestic violence, abuse, and related trauma.
It provides for case management, emergency assistance, and referrals.
It is led and staffed by Orthodox Christian priests,
social workers, and psychologists.
Projects:
Provided initial funding for an executive director and institutional development.
